Summary

I enjoyed this project very much. I feel that my idea has a lot of potential. The people I have presented my idea to all agree that it can revolutionize the game of golf. My idea of the iBall has evolved from a general thought into understanding what technology that can make my vision come to life. I now know about the use of RFID chips and how they can be used on objects to register the location of the object. I learned the importance of social media and how I can use social media to my advantage to advertise my product. I now also know ways to manage data. I believe that the iBall could actually be the next step in golf technology.

Databases

I can use databases to my advantage with my product because I would be able to store information about my company such as information about my employees, the store in which my products are sold, sponsors for my product, and the revenue I make.
Databases are important for managing large amounts of information. They have the ability to make quick decisions about information. Databases have a set of tables in which every table serves a specific purpose.
To avoid making mistakes, every cell in the database holds only one piece of data. The cells in every column are all of the same type and the cells in every row are identical. This method helps information to be stored in an organized and easily accessible manner.

Networks

Every website on the Internet requires an IP address. My website advertising the iBall will be an unrestricted website so that it can be accessed by anyone looking at my product. The domain name for my website can be “.golf” so the viewers know that the website is specifically for golf.
I will make sure that no other user has domain names similar to my own. This is because people may try and create websites similar sounding to my own in order to advertise their own product. I intend to have all similar domain names rerouted to my website so this can be prevented.
An HTTP protocol has four important steps between the client and the web server. First is to make a connection between the client and the server. Then a request is sent. The server then responds to the client’s request. After the server responds, it closes the connection to the client. This is important for a website because a webserver cannot handle so many connections. In this way, once the client receives the information from the website, the connection is closed immediately that way many more clients can access the information without backup.

Digital Color

Advertising my product is very important on my website and advertisements that are printed. Color is key to presentation. For my website, I plan on using an RGB pallet. RGB is generally used in the online world and is used by monitors, laptops and all forms of computers. For printed advertisements I will use CMYK pallet because this is the pallet that is compatible with printers.
For both aspects of advertising, hue, saturation and brightness contribute to the quality of the picture. Hue denotes the pure color. Saturation determines the amount of pure color being used. Brightness determines the amount of color that radiates or reflects from the image.
I will determine the colors to use in the presentations based upon the sex digit, three-byte hexadecimal number. This consists of six values ranging from 0 to F, F being the most pure colors.
